No Lag, Just Reality

Real-time, low-latency tracking keeps pace with every motion, so VR experiences stay fluid, natural, and deeply immersive.

VR Without Boundaries

VR Without Boundaries

OptiTrack systems grow and scale with your space, from a single headset to a full free-roam VR arena, easily and reliably.

Drift-Free Tracking at any Scale

VR Arms Training

One System, Endless VR Tracking Capabilities

Accurately track a room full of HMDs or shutter glasses, controllers, hands, fingers, and even the user's complete body all with a single tracking system.

Active Tracking vs Passive Tracking

Active Tracking

Active tracking uses battery-powered LED markers that emit light in a coded pattern, allowing each marker to be uniquely identified. This enables robust tracking in difficult environments, like brightly lit LED stages or multi-object scenarios.

Passive Tracking

Passive tracking uses reflective markers that bounce infrared light from OptiTrack cameras back to the lens. It’s ideal for complex tracking volumes where cost-effective, lightweight markers are preferred.

Exceptional 3D Precision

To create immersive experiences, tracking must be free of jitter and noise. OptiTrack delivers sub-20 µm accuracy for smooth, artifact-free VR experiences.

What’s New in Virtual Reality?

Open Access, Seamless Integration

Access everything from camera images to 6DoF data with our free developer tools. The NatNet SDK makes real-time streaming simple, open, and integration-ready.

Simple sync to shutter glasses and other devices

Integrate your OptiTrack system with shutter gasses and other input, display, or tracking devices via the OptiHub 2 for Flex Series cameras and eSync 2 for Prime Series cameras.

vr headset

Trackable Objects

Track any object type using a single infrared LED marker configuration. This allows for hundreds of identically manufactured HMDs, weapons, controllers, and scene elements to be tracked simultaneously within the volume.

Zero Drift. Pure Precision.

Motive calibrates automatically and continuously with data collected during normal use of the system. No longer does your calibration degrade over time with changing temperatures or challenging building movement—it is always a “fresh” calibration.

Mix and Match Cameras

OptiTrack cameras work together seamlessly to build the perfect motion capture system for any use case.

Motive is behind every seamless workflow

OptiTrack’s Motive software delivers speed, precision, and ease of use, streamlining everything from calibration to real-time streaming, while tools like Aim Assist and auto-masking make even large system setups simple for one person.
